Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Does anyone know why I can not uninstall this program? If so how can it be removed w/o doing a hard reset.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Hey I also had a Sprint HTC pro touch 2, with Windows 6.5, But I had a question on if there is a program that can delete all the unwanted programs on my phone such as the jetset printer, nfl, and nascar.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

First off- I love this cleanup! I have a couple questions/concerns I can not find answers for in the forums- hope I didn't just miss them!
1-I too am having alarm issues- my bluetooth is off. It rings for a second, then shuts off.
2-Is it possible to change the 'X' back to hold to close a program?
3-I can't seem to set the backlight to auto-adjust...is that no longer an option?
4-Can I set the phone to ask for a password only when turned on?

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

I installed the HTC task manager found on page 1 (I believe post 3 or 4) & through the settings in that program you can change the long press on X to close programs. The past few days I have actually been experimenting by not closing out of programs I use regularly, mainly Opera & messaging, to see what impact it has on performance. My own subjective experience has been that things seem a little sluggish at times when I constantly close & reopen programs. Windows seems to do a good job managing memory on its own. When I opened up Sprint Navigation yesterday I checked my task manager & saw Opera was automatically closed to free up memory for the navigation. It's just my own personal experience, but just curious if anyone else noticed this? Perhaps we have gotten a little too concerned over making sure we have lots of free RAM. Unless you are running multiple memory intensive programs at once, it seems Windows 6.5 does a pretty good job managing it. Maybe that's why they left out the task manager in the update (but I did reinstall it anyway since it is helpfull for switching back & forth between tasks).

That's actually an interesting thought that I was having myself. I am beginning to wonder if perhaps the task manager could be causing the RAM memory leak....

I thought GT2L determined it was part of the stock rom. Any Verizon users reporting memory leak? Mine has been creeping up to 70-80% with no programs running.
