If I'm reading this correctly, you first did a Hard Reset, then installed Tweaks, then Cleanup for Sprint 6.5? If so, then that is likely the culprit.

It is my understanding that after a Hard Reset you should install the Cleanup, and this is ALL you will need as it includes all of the things in Tweaks and then some. The Tweaks it sounds like is if you're NOT doing a Hard Reset and just want to apply the up to date fixes.

To make my phone continue to work smooth, once the new Cleanup is released tonight hopefully I will Hard Reset and then install the new Cleanup cab along with any other misc cabs that I'm using (such as HTC Task Mgr and T9 Fix). Since I'm installing over a fresh Hard Reset there isn't a need for the Tweaks cab.

Hope this helps!

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Just an FYI. I did the upgrade to WM6.5 on the 20th, which went fine. A friend sent me the link to this thread. I downloaded the Sprint wm6.5 tweaks cab and installed it to the device. Everything seemed fine but it did break the built in Weather App (would not retrieve current temp or refresh the forecast) I uninstalled the tweaks app and all came back.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

you either install ONE OR the OTHER!!!! you do not need to install BOTH!!

the cleanup pack DOES clean up items on the device. read the first post in this thread so see WHAT it DOES...

if you can not do a complete hard reset, you have other problems... you can do a hard reset using the up/down buttons as well as the software method....

At least then you will have the correct time zone, city, and associated weather.

I have a Sprint Air Rave 3G hotspot which will cause "My Location" to show up incorrectly as well because it uses the data center location (because it connects via internet, not towers). For this reason, I added my specific city to the main Home Tab and deselected "My Location"

Regarding the behavior of weather, I've noticed that the weather status on the Home Tab (under clock) never updates itself until you manually view the Dedicated Weather Tab and it updates itself. Then, the weather on the Home Tab also updates. I'm assuming this is normal behavior (but I cant remember?). It would be nice if the weather on the home tab updated itself at the interval you specified regardless of if you manually flip over to the weather tab or not. Isnt that the whole point of placing it on the main page, so you can see current conditions without flipping to the weather tab? is this normal?
thanks so much for ur help. i really want to use my location it was working fine before i installed the clean up 6.5 sprint cab so with that said is there a fix is this a known issue thanks in advance

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Maybe this has been addressed elsewhere, but I wanted to ask anyway. Is there a cab that fixes the clock being back an hour, then flipping ahead when you go to the Home screen?

Best way to see this behavior is if you have the HTC Task Mgr installed. Go into it and press on the % to see the memory usage, then once you press OK it brings you back to the Home screen. The clock is back an hour and it flips ahead to the correct time.

I believe I read somewhere that a way to fix it was to disable ALL clock animations, which ISN'T what I'm looking for. I like the clock animation, but it's dumb that in the scenario I describe above the clock is ALWAYS off by an hour, then flips ahead to the current time. Is there any easy way to fix this?

Thanks

This post has two cabs for that. I used the first cab and it works well no more of the clock flipping.

Agreed. & too many noobs effing it up themselves & trying to blame the software & developer.
RTFOP!!

Refresh people's reading comp (btw - ESL for me here):

1) absolutely, positively do NOT install other applications before installing the Cleanup.
2) If you're installing a newer release and don't want to hard reset, download both the cleanup (for future hard resets) AND the tweaks for the immediate updates.

I tried it and this works great from what I can gather thus far, thanks. I wonder if there is any way this fix could get added in to the Cleanup as part of a future release?

Thanks

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

I appreciate all the hard work here. I installed the 6.1 version but think I'll wait on 6.5 until some of the issues seem to be resolved. In the meantime, I looked the CAB and did not see a registry setting to change the number of shortcuts to be changed from 3 across to 4. Is this setting common knowledge?

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

yep noob here; and assho**s like you ruin places like this. Thanks for the reading lesson though.

Side note, maybe you should learn to read as well. I never blamed the OP or his software. I stated it merely did not work for me.
