As I said in my post I use a piece the exact size of the strip & you cannot even tell it's there. There is no need for me to remove it. I do not suggest anyone that is concerned about being able to cut it to the exact size do this.

There are 2 indicators. 1 on the phone itself & one on the battery.

Re: Battery has a water damage detector!

The sticker is already glossy. And no it doesn't activate the sticker. I've been doing this since I had a Nokia years ago & it changed colors for no apparent reason.

It does very little good to be all over them once that indicator is triggered. They will be like a broken record. It's triggered. No replacement. Why? because HTC will not take it back & credit the carrier for a defective phone because the indicator was triggered.

I've seen it happen way too many times to people, as they scream on the forums that the company refuses to take it back.

this is true, they will smile once they see the indicater activated...... But one question, the indicator wont trigger without water, or sweaty asz hands or sitting in a humid area right?????????

Re: Battery has a water damage detector!

all batteries in htc devices have these now. its old news. and no you cant buy a new moisture strip. but you can make it so water will not change its color.
