I finished all the steps, and *223/*611 both show MetroPCS, but every time I start this thing up it keeps putting up a message about a failed data call. I know it's sprint screwing with things, but does anyone know how to kill it?

There is a final step... There is a service on the phone called CM_Guardian that is continuously resetting your connection to Sprint settings. Remove this. Sorry, meant to put that in the walkthrough. I believe To do this, set the following key in the registry:

HKLM\Services\CMGuardian
Flags = 4 (it's a DWORD if it doesn't exist.)

As for flashing to sprint, I can flash it back to Sprint within 10 seconds. That's how easy it is. All you have to do is change the PRL Back. Where do you live? Anywhere near Atlanta? I'll do it all for a fee. :)

CMGuardian was eliminated already, and another check shows it not in the registry and not running. I followed the instructions here:

1: Download Dot Fred's Task Manager and goto services. Stop the CM_Guardian. Then Highlight it and find it in the registry. Once in the Registry highlight CM_Guardian and remove the complete directory.

tguerena, i'm on sprint so this discovery doesn't really benefit me, but what i DO want to say is i LOVE people like you, when the entire world says you cant do something, you don't give up and you keep trying until you prove them wrong...

great job with getting to work on metro

did you find any type of iota file we need to delete? Btw, I think im close to cracking MMS, only thing I'm trying to figure out is that it starts running this page that says device configuration, which is what I think is hindering it from being sent, any sugguestions how to turn it off?

what kind of speeds are you getting with data and do u have the smartphone/touchscreen plan ?

I have the dealer plan on mine, in an area where I barely have 1 bar of reception I'm getting 118kb p/s which I found out by using dslreports mobile speed test on opera browser 9.5
