First Touch Pro2 on MetroPCS!

i just got it and installed it on one of them and i love it! now i just cant unlock the other one its giving me a lot of trouble to unlock it says ERROR 246 DEVICE NOT RESPONDING , i tried to do it manually and nothing, any help?? ALSO could you guys get the MAIL tab to work i set mi e-mail up but i cant get it to work =(

Hey guys just checking up, how's everyone enjoying their flash on metro ? so far everything's great for me, i've tried pretty much all the roms on here, havent really had any issues setting anything up on any of them.

Perhaps you didnt read my previous post, i have my tp2 working on metro as well, everything works as it should.

Im pretty new to ppc phones, I believe I have the stock sprint ROM(im not sure yet what ROM's are except i think they are the OS installed with all the goodies) so I been playiing with that since I got it working. Like I said in my previous post, internet works, sms works, picture msg works, just recently got a *copy* of Garmin Mobile XT GPS working on it, as well as WMWifiRouter(ICS/tethering).

The downfall i have seen so far that I really care about is that internet is TOO slow, especially when tethering the connection to any pc. I dont understand if its the setup I have or configuration is wrong or if the MetroPCS network is just slow because its slow. If anyone could comment on that I would greatly appreciate it since its not clear to me why. The actual phone is very well engineered, A- and well worth the price I paid, its not worth retail price tho.

I have a TP2 on Metro. Garmen and GPS Weather is fast. WIFI internet is fast. Metro has always been slow (using Opera). One issue:the phone when turned runs a device configuration and gives me an error code, which I cancel out. It's annoying, but I can't figure out where it is (Sprint or HTC).

yeah metro internet is very slow lol
for best performance i've been using opera mini 4.2 it seem to be pretty good for browsing.

has anyone been able to get htc messaging mms from Leo\HD2 to work ? mms works fine without it, but for the leo messaging there's an extra mms settings that i just cant get. i think what i am missing is which ip address to use, which port and weather it should be WAP1.2 or WAP 2.0 or no wap.

Hi guys, just want to say thanks for everything on this thread.

I do pc repair and occasional tech support but I'm fairly new to working with smart phones so it's all a little confusing really, especially since I don't yet have my own tp2 to try all of this out on (which i'm very nervous about since it'll be the most expensive phone i've ever been about to possibly completely turn into junk). I pmed a couple of you asking if this walkthrough would work with a verizon model tp2 but I just finished reading the thread and now I'm starting to think I've been reading the wrong thread entirely. Can anyone tell me what would possibly be done different with the verizon model or even which thread I should be reading instead?

Again - thanks for all of the hard work you guys have been doing. I've learned a lot from reading your posts.
Any help from you guys to my noobness is amazingly appreciated.

Also if anyone knows anyone at metro in the bay area, please please tell me how to find him. It'd be SO much easier to learn about all of this and have help getting my TP2 up and fully running with metro pcs from someone who actualy knows what they're talking about.

I know of a guy at a authorized dealer that has a verizon touch pro 2 flashed to metro everything working.His store is in San Bernardino, CA and as far as information goes, he only told me he flashed it without doing all the steps in this thread, right out of the box. He flashed my Sprint tp2 and I might go see him again for the following question and Ill ask him for more info on the verizon tp2:

Im also new to ppc and phone tech, I wana know if its normal for the "data mode" to be "1x" and not EV, I always thought metro has EVDO coverage. Im assuming that is why internet is very slow. I updated the PRL just recently to 02004, was 02003 when first flashed. any help would be appreciated. Thankz!!!

im still trying, however i gave up for a bit, school starts tomorrow and when i put it the ip in the mms server on the htc messaging then it stops working, i've had to call metro 3 times in 2 days to get them to refresh my messaging sevies (whatever that means lol) because after i try to use htc messaging for mms, the mms stop working, even after flashing to another rom, changing radio, upgrading prl! but the refresh seem to fix things so i can use mms with the old fashion way.
if u come up with something let me know, n i'll do the same

what were u using for the ip address

For this flash tutorial....all features will work correct? Such as Internet, Text, GPS, etc.
