I had the information before the official statement, so I can't really trust/not trust them based on most of what I was told coming true. Like I said, it's an UNCONFIRMED statement, there is no reason you or anyone else should believe me, its speculation/chatter based on what's been floating around the break room at Verizon.

Any update on this? From how I see this, this is the only thing that's missing with my TP2 (and a very obnoxious one with that).

I would really love to have my Opera browser to not run like a snail anymore, especially when I try look for a website in my bookmarks.

I am confused so these drivers that the TP2 didnt come with are in the software or hardware. If in the hardware going to 6.5 i wouldnt think would solve the problem. If its in the Software then why is it not something we could just install on the phone or flash with custom rom

It is software but it is a lot more complicated then that. There are limited phones that have the driver and those that do are phone specific, while people were able to run the 3d acceleration on other devices, it is sometimes unstable. There is also a missing 2d drivers.

There has been much debate on this and attempts to get it running thus the driver improvements you see today that let you run video smoother and etc, but overall it requires too much work to get it working with a lot of trial and error.
