Unhappy Zooming via Double-Tap Issue in Opera

I'm having some strange issues with my replacement TP2 in Opera, that I don't recall having on my first TP2 or even on my TP1. I'm finding it really difficult to double tap to zoom in. Sometimes:

1) it zooms in properly
2) it doesn't do anything and I have to try double tapping harder or several more times
3) other times it responds to a double tap by scrolling the page all the way up or down
4) it doesn't always zoom into the area I double-tapped and instead zoom into an entirely different area of the screen.

On top of that, I find it almost impossible to hit the page #'s in this forum, or the new posts button, without trying several times or using a stylus. I swear this wasn't such an issue on my first TP2. So maybe my replacement has an issue, but the screen seems to respond fine in other programs. In fact I had even started a poll a while back asking people if they still use their stylus and started out by voting "no", but it seems like in Opera at least this isn't the case.

Anyone else?

Re: Zooming via Double-Tap Issue in Opera

I have had all the same problems. This is why I use Opera Mini 4.2. I think the zoom bar is responsible for issues 3) and 4). And how about:

5) It zooms into the previous zoom location when zooming in a second time

Give Opera 9.7b a try. The zoom bar is disabled and there are less errors with double tapping. But Mini 4.2 is far and away, the best.

Thanks for your feedback and suggestion to try 9.7b. I'll give that a shot. It seems like there's a problem in the way it's doing the calculation of my finger input. Maybe I should try using my middle finger and see how it responds to that lol
