touch pro 2 and DST. special attn to az users

is the problem with how the touch pro2 handles day light standard time during the summer resolved? i know the mogul and the touch pro couldnt for some reason do it. i still have to reset my touch pro to get it to work right i was wondering if the tp2 has finally fixed this problem? or am i stuck resetting a 600 dollar phone to automatically adjust for DST in a non dst state? mhy cheap prepaid vzw phone can do it, my old sanyo 8200 could do it, hell my old audiovox CDM-9155 could do it but the top phone on sprint cant... well second top phone hopefully the tp2 can now handle it....

On mine there's a specific time zone for Arizona and it currently displays the correct time. But why not just set it to sync with the network?

Never had this issue with any phone I have owned with sprint over the last 8 years(thats including moguls amd tp1s). Like 8notime said, why not just sync with the network, I thought it did that by default anyway.

Re: touch pro 2 and DST. special attn to az users

i have had it set up to sync with the network everyonce3 in a while the phone will reset to mdt instead of mst and i know for a fact its been a problem before there have been several posts about it. there was one supposed fix for the tp1 put out by microsoft but whatever i just wondered if it works right it looks like it does i truly hope so i hate waking up and thinking im an hour late to find out that i just need to reset it, and btw my tp1 has a setting for az it still does it... lol its usually happens after a soft reset or the battery dies.. and resets...i just wondered if the people in az who have the tp2 has the same issue or has it been fixed?

i know you guys in ga and seattle probably dont have the problem because you switch to daylight savings time, where as those in AZ do not and it sometimes confuses the phone i think. i never have the problem when traveling in a state that is on DST. it seems to be an AZ problem and maybe hawaii. Im pretty sure its a windows mobile thing and nto a phone specific thing but would like to dknow if the rom build in this phone fixed this glitch... for AZ users..

Yeah, I only commented because I travel to Phoenix occasionally for work and don't remember having that issue. You would know for sure though, and if that's what it's doing, that would frustrate me too.

mine is fine, like someone said there is an arizona time zone you can select. we will see how it works when everyone else turns the clocks in a few weeks.

Re: touch pro 2 and DST. special attn to az users

The best thing to do is not let it sync to the network, and make sure you are on the AZ time zone as rdd0512 mentioned. The sad thing is that this sometimes won't work. When I lived in BHC this issue always seemed to creep up on me. Good luck!

You know what, I should have known that. My cousin been living there for a while and he also has sprint. But I just talked to him and he says he doesn't have that problem and he currently has a tp1 and before he had a mogul. So I don't know what to day
