When will Sprint's TP2 be in retail stores?

I am currently on my 6th HTC Mogul b/c I've had so many problems with the keyboard etc. Last week the store manager at a full service Sprint store told me he would replace my phone at no charge to me when he gets the TP2 in his store. He told me it isn't available in retail stores yet and he had no idea when he was going to get it.

Does anyone know when the TP2 is scheduled to hit the retail stores?

I wonder why they waited so long to sell it in store. Surely there must be a good reason. All I can think of is that they wanted to launch it after October 6th with WM 6.5 and a new version of TF3D installed on it. But if that is the case why did they launch it through telesales at all? Just curious.

If the retail phones do end up with WM6.5 does that mean there should be an update available to us soon after?

If it shows up with 6.5, there will be a release for a ROM update on the HTC website as soon as its released.

BTW, I've been told in multiple stores "sometime in October."

I just go to T-mobile store to check out the TP2. It is almost the same as Sprint.

Ive been told Oct 14th. And the reason is apparently the TP1 got into the hands of "people who shouldnt have had it." so HTC is delaying the release to try to get it into the hands of people who "should have it" first. Working in a retail store, I know what they mean and kind of understand
