Landscape mode

Hey Everyone this is my first post so please bear with me. I am very interested in getting the Touch Pro 2 from Verizon and have been doing quite a bit of research on this phone. There is 1 thing that I have not been able to figure out. When you change the orientation to landscape mode do you always have to slide open the keyboard to make it work?
All of the video reviews that I have watched, the reviewer always slides it open.
Also, is there a full keyboard in landscape mode if I did not want to use the slide out keyboard?
I guess I am trying to figure out if it works like my ipod touch.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Landscape mode

There is an accelerometer in the device which will detect the orientation and change the screen accordingly and a full on screen keyboard.
