I also use total commander but didnt notice an increase in the volume at all, would you mind explaining how to replace the file with the one in the windows directory as I may be doing it wrong....

when you copy over the file you should getting a prompt asking you if you wwant to over write the current file select yes and then soft-reset

I did get the prompt so I guess that means I did it right. I'll have to try the new one when I get home because I dont hear the volume increase in either of them..... or maybe im just going deaf :disgust:

Do these files seem to work for Verizon users??

I have tried all of them & mine doesn't seem any louder with any of them??

It does seem to work for me. Speaker is loud enough that I have to dial it back now...

Whenever i try to override the file it says that I may not have access and will not let me do it. Is there something I am doing wrong or a setting I need to change?

do not use the stock windows explorer,, it sometimes prevents you from overwriting system files... use 3rd party programs such as resco...

Same problem here at first. I normally use Resco Explorer (slightly older version) and it would not allow me to overwrite the file. At first I thought it was because it was marked read-only, so I tried to clear that, but to no avail (yes, I know it's read only because it's in ROM). So I tried Total Commander and that worked like a treat! Bizarre, but at least I got it to copy.

increasing ring does not have anything to do with audiopara... you can change the ringer type in phone, options, ring type..

honestly i find the STOCK audiopara on my sprint touch pro 2 to be just right and that is what i use... for those wanting louder speaker phone volume try taking off the black tape that covers the orange holes behind the battery cover and it should help a lil...

Am I the only one that would like to have the earpiece volume DECREASED? Is there a way to do this with this method? My Sprint TP2 earpiece volume is just a tad too loud when it's turned all the way down.

I'm not sure, but ideally I would like to have JUST the speakerphone increased.

If somebody could tell me how to adjust the cabs, I'll make a variety of them but I'm pretty new to this still so I don't really know how it all works.

Bit tricky to install with total commander. If you save it to another directory, copy to clipboard then paste to the windows directory. It will ask you if you want to override.


The date should be a later date than the others (on mine 7/2/09 is the old one).

that's what I found also.

My speakerphone is a LOT louder (which I don't care about), but I really can't tell much (if any) difference in the earpiece.

I've noticed that changing the speakerphone volume with #3 applied doesn't do anything. It stays at the same loudness no matter what volume level I set it to.

but if you take off the tape it takes off the orange piece with it. i'll stick with a tweak rather than lose aesthetics .

i will look into the files this weekend but here are the things that i change when editing the audiopara.csv file.

You should really only pay attention to the rxVolume column H in rows 170-187 and column J in rows 68-85. Increasing the HEX value increases the volume.

Phone_Earcuple- is the earpiece volume
Phone_Handsfree- is the speakerphone volume
Phone_Headset- is the plugged in wired headset volume
