Re: Timed Phone Profiles

I used PhoneWeaver a lot back in the WM5 days and I loved that program. Very simple and does exactly what you want it to.

Re: Timed Phone Profiles

I have issues with SPB Phone Suite and SPB Mobile Shell 3.5. You'd think SPB would have worked out any major bugs between the two, but I get hard button lockups with Phone Suite installed. Just tried G-Profiles and the functionality is great, but it drains my battery unbelievably fast. Still looking for a better solution.

I agree on the G-Profile battery drain.

I ran G-Profile on my 6700 and if I wasn't careful with the profiles (settings and such) I could drain the battery in a matter of a few hrs.

I ran it on TP2 for a bout a week.
Didn't think I had too many items on the profiles (did different things from 5am to 7am, then 7am to 5pm; Work, then 5pm to 10pm, then 10pm to 5am).

I guess that many changes to data connectivity/volume and such just drained the battery too fast for my liking.

The software nice and such but can't afford the big battery drain I was seeing.

I still use G-Alarm (not free) but its the best alarm I have used yet.

SOMETHING weird is going on with the battery drain. I don't know what it is, but I know on my TP2, G-Profile doesn't noticeably drain the battery and I'm very happy with it.

On the other hand S2U2, for me is a battery killer. 5 hours of standby and the battery is dead. For others S2U2 is fine.

My PhoneWeaver profiles aren't sticking on my TP2 for whatever reason, and I'm not inclined to dig too deeply with other options out there...

Here's what I see as other alternatives...

SPB Phone Suite... I've read reports here that it screws with the hard button functions and possibly the soft buttons at the bottom of the dialer. Can anyone confirm/deny?

G-Profile... does it drain the battery or not?

phoneAlarm... haven't read much of anything... Is it working okay with the TP2?

Re: Timed Phone Profiles

I have tried SPB PhoneSuite and Phoneweaver. I used SPB Phonesuite for years, but I always seem to have issues with Wifi coming on during calls with SPB Phonesuite and it can't be used with TF3D very easily due to it's reliance on the today plug-in.

Phoneweaver seems to be a bit less refined, but I'm still putting the demo through it's paces.

This thread is the first I've heard of G-Profile, I may give that a look this weekend. If it doesn't drain the battery too bad it may be a winner.

Re: Timed Phone Profiles

G-Profile is in the process of a full rewrite and will probably cost between $5-$10 once it is release.

Re: Timed Phone Profiles

I used Phoneweaver successfully on my Touch Pro, but on my TP2, it will not come back to life for the day setting. (version 1.4.2)

Yes. Phoneweaver definitely has issues on my TP2. I'll be trying G-Profile after giving SPB Phone Suite one more shot.

SPB Phone Suite failed for me - even without profiles set, it seems to screw randomly with sound settings and caused me to miss my wake up alarm this morning (even though I use SPB Time as my alarm clock?)

Time to try G-Profile...

Re: Timed Phone Profiles

+1 for G-Profile (And I haven't noticed any battery drain from it.)
