Re: Camera Settings
To the original poster, do you have to take pictures of yourself to test the camera? I don't know about anyone else but it makes me feel uncomfortable just staring at some dude seeing which picture of him looks more detailed. LOL, sorry but I had to say something.

Re: Camera Settings
Really? Comin' from the guy with the transfhomos teabaggin in his sig.? Not to mention the robot crotch as an avatar!? Sorry, just had to say something in response to that one. I see no problem with looking at a picture of some dude(fully clothed), to check picture quality. Are we that insecure these days? C'mon man! Meaningless posts like that, do nothing but trigger more meaningless posts like this one and on it goes. We don't need to sift through this kind of crap while digging for useful information. I'm done, that was my 2 cents worth.

In response to the original poster, I also created another thread a few days ago regarding the camera (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=86884). My brother has an app on his iPhone which is a separate camera app. It does something to allow more light to take much better night pictures, and also takes the picture when the accelerometer shows little to no movement. I thought this would be a useful tool if we can do the same on our phones. In regards to changing the settings on our cameras, it doesn't seem to be very effective.

Edit: Nevermind I found Em. Wow, it really makes a difference. Nice.. Thanks. Also, Mighty Mikes right, Touch Pro2 takes way better pics than my old tp1 and my wifes old diamond, we compared each side by side.

Re: Camera Settings
this may really be a case of possibly different hardware. I too felt almost immediately that the TP2 shots were not as good as the TP1 shots. I still have my TP1 and have had the TP2 for about a week. They are both Verizon models.
I took some pictures in broad daylight today with the TP2, trying various settings with ISO and Brightness, and Sharpness under advanced. Upon loading them onto my laptop, they looked pretty bad. Very grainy/noisy, even with ISO at 100. I loaded up some TP1 shots I had taken outside in sunlight, and they looked MUCH better. I'm posting this in bed from my TP2, but I will try to remember to post some pics up here tommorow. Even my wife agreed though, when I had her look at them but didnt tell her which was which... hands down felt the TP1 shots were cleaner and better colored. It sucks because otherwise I am loving the TP2! |

Is there a way to make these options stick as default? |
