Re: help please (might need to hard reset)
well, just got a screen that states:
"The device is unable to boot because either you have turned off the device incorrectly or tried to install an application from untrusted source. Press Volume Up to reset your device or press any other button to cancel. This operation will delete all your personal data and restore the device to it's factory default settings." fml |

Strange, but yes, I would assume you need to hard reset.

Re: help please (might need to hard reset)
just did it. can't wait to install everything again!!! (not really)
but on a plus note, i just called my voicemail to check if i had service, put the phone to my ear, and then looked at the phone and it stayed at the dialer screen! tried it a few times and it stuck! i also tried running programs and pressing the power button to put the device to sleep and turned it back on and it didnt revert to the home screen! i must say im pretty happy about this. i would probably suggest anyone who buys the phone to immediately hard reset the device as soon as they get it to solve this annoyance. |

Mine worked fine out of the box. Before you start installing a bunch of stuff, especially hacks, I would do one at a time and make sure there are no negative side affects. It seems like a lot of the hacks out there, although well intentioned, have created more trouble than anything with this phone. |

Re: help please (might need to hard reset)
I always do a hard reset the first time I get it. I remember the first time I got my tp1, there where all kinds of strange things going on with the phone. I was so excited to get it that I didn't want to waste any time by hard resetting but eventually I did and it made a huge difference for sure.

Re: help please (might need to hard reset)
be careful uninstalling (drivers especially) what happened was you had install cabA and it put a new driver in place (backing up original), then you installed cabB and it replaced the driver with it's version (backing up driver from cabA).
then you uninstalled cabA so it reverted the driver back to the original without changing any of the other required changes from cabB. backup, backup, backup..☻ in this case you could likely just leave both 'installs' in place as the 2nd over-rode the first. otherwise, uninstall the old tweak before installing the new.

Re: help please (might need to hard reset)
also my music tab is very responsive, unlike before where there was at least a 10 second lag to play songs.
