Re: RadarWeather v1.0 - advanced weather tab for TF3D - WVGA

Is this crushing anybody else's battery? I installed this around 5 PM yesterday, and by 9 PM was down to 30% (full charge as of 4:30). This morning the phone had powered itself off (that hasn't happened since the day I got it).

I've had WP installed in my Windows Roms for a couple of years now. I don't think my battery drain is worse than before, but perhaps I am used to it?

Re: RadarWeather v1.0 - advanced weather tab for TF3D - WVGA

My battery life is fine with WP installed (WAY better than my old TP's). I still have WP running from a 2nd today screen, not the tab setup that this provides but I don't see why that should matter??

I may get around to trying this new setup today, but my current setup works so well it didn't seem real important to get to it right away.

Re: RadarWeather v1.0 - advanced weather tab for TF3D - WVGA

Did a hard reset today (many things installed/uninstalled since I got it so I figured I'd start with a clean slate) and reinstalled this. Won't know if the battery drain is an anomoly until after work today...but does anyone else get errors when they reset the device or reset TouchFlo? Maybe the custom height is just a tad too big (it barely overlaps the menu slider; I'm going to try dropping it down a tad from 620).

Once you hit 'send' or 'dont send', TouchFlo loads up normally, and everything seems fine.

Instead of putting this in the new 'Today' tab, I had it load in the Weather tab and I hide the extra 'Today' tab.

Re: RadarWeather v1.0 - advanced weather tab for TF3D - WVGA

I installed it yesterday and so far no problems. There's a LOT to learn on it. I haven't used WP in so long. Anyway, no battery drain issues as of yet. And installation worked just as expected as long as you follow his directions to the letter. I experience a crash running the configuration program when saving, but the changes still take effect.

I have everything installed with the Phatphinger Theme, but everytime I try to add a radar or webcam that isn't the one that is built into WeatherPanel it won't display. Any idea's. I'd like to put up a weatherbug mobile radar and a couple of the cams from Rochester.

Re: RadarWeather v1.0 - advanced weather tab for TF3D - WVGA

I think the battery issue people are reporting is how they have the auto update set. I have mine set to every 4 hours. I should keep battery life good.. I think the default is every 30 minutes to update and that will KILL the battery.

Does anyone know how to fix it on the TP2 so that when you are on this weather screen you can hit all programs and it will actually come up without it being hidden behind the weather?? also how did people REPLACE the TF3D weather with this??
