Sprint Touch Pro 2 in hand...want to flash to metro... need help!

I was able to flash the mogul over to metro i little over a year ago by going into epst and changing some of the info in there but I cannot access the epst the same way on this phone. I think sprint put some kind of lock on it. I think I might have to flash the rom so that I can access epst and see if that works. Im gonna go to a metro store right now and see what they have to say.

from what i've read in the hofo metropcs forum, houdini software just reprovisions the phone and does not do anything with firmware or software on the phone, like it does when unlocking with hspl. They refer to this process as flashing, but it is not the flashing in the terms that we use it. I've seen it said many times by the pros over there, that even after you get the houdini flash, your phone is still locked, and in order to flash a custom rom after getting the houdini flash, you still have to unlock with the hspl unlocker. That is my understanding of it all.

I should have researched MetroPCS and Houdini a little further before I answered this question. I just assumed flashing the TP2 to work on Metro would be the same process as getting a Verizon TP2 to work on Sprint or vice versa. Am I correct that Houdini is also unlocking the SPL to do what it needs to do?

Just take it to metro they'll do it. Only thing youll have to do is setup the internet and mms

metro cannot flash the TP2, houdini cannot tell when they will be able to add the TP2. I have the PRL loaded, went to a corporate store to have the esn put in their system. That was 3 days ago, still waiting to activate....

its all about step 6 on that other guide apparently... making the mrl be 000000

bottom line, before you flash it you need to have your MSL/SPC code set to 000000's(zeros) I am a dealer for metro, believe me when I tell you I tried everything before reading the guide and it didn't work.

Well theres a thread here that someone has a TP2 on MEtro, so obviously its possible, but, ugh, why?? Thats like putting the engine to a Ferrari into a Pinto

You shouldn't make assumptions without asking why first, I prefer to not be obligated by a contract, and metro's lineup blows huge monkey nuts, so I got my TP2 with WAP, MMS,GPS, and email, for probably 1/4 to 1/2 of what your spending with a contract. Again, no disrespect intended by posting this, just trying to show you a different perspective .
