My text messages are turning into talking messages

I just got my first text message on this phone and to my surprise to phone read it aloud to me as soon as it was delivered.

What is this feature called? How do I disable/uninstall it?

It read the entire text message to you outloud? Have you installed any 3rd party apps? This sounds like the "TALKS" feature they included on one of the Ozone models.

Voice Command is turned on to read messages. Click Start-Settings-All Settings (left soft key), "Personal" tab. Voice Command. Select "messaging" and then click "notifications. Change it to "Announce notifications using Bluetooth Hands Free Only, and it will only read when you have a headset.

If you don't want it to announce at all, just uncheck it from the main list, but I find it nice with a headset in...

Thanks, I have been around, having lots of devices since then, but being I made a move to HTC devices, there are plenty of people doing the work, and life got me a bit busy, so I just lurked instead of actively participating.

I see there are a LOT of new-to-WinMo people getting the Touch Pro 2, and just passing along some knowledge, hanging around waiting for the hardspl...

Glad there are still some people around from the i730 days, and they remember me, which is rather funny...
