Re: Can a regular Micro-B USB Cable be used to Charge and Sync?
Standard Micro-B usb cables charge for sure, but they don't sync, at least not on my linux system.

Re: Can a regular Micro-B USB Cable be used to Charge and Sync?
Here is what I experienced. Last night around 1:30am my phone alerted me that my battery was almost dead. I plugged it into my usb cable that came with my Mogul 2 years ago (it looks like the one from thepocketsolution). It did not sync and when I picked it up around 10:00 am it only had a 30% charge. Might just be my bad luck, but that is what happened to me. Now it is still charging on the wall charger that came with the TP2.

Re: Can a regular Micro-B USB Cable be used to Charge and Sync?
I have USB b cables that I bought at a dollar store that have never had problems charging, syncing or tethering. I started using them on my Mogul and the TP2 seems to be no different.
I have a bunch of car cigerette lighter USB adapters too, I just use a standard USB B cable and plug it in if I need to charge in the car. I also have wall adapters for the cigarette adapters. ![]() + ![]() + ![]() = Charge anywhere or anytime. |

Re: Can a regular Micro-B USB Cable be used to Charge and Sync?
I used my usb cable that came with my Apache to try it out and it connected to my system with WMDC just fine and started syncing/charging. I have a similar cable in my car that plugs into a 12V->USB adapter that charges my phone or any other USB device just fine as well.
