Re: Any TV/Live Video apps out there?
spb tv is good (pay app) or you can purchase a slingbox, and watch tv from your house on your phone

Re: Any TV/Live Video apps out there?
Slingbox is the answer, I get 200 cable channels (including all the on demand channels) through my new TP2 using SlingMobile.

Re: Any TV/Live Video apps out there?
nice i'm considering slingbox, but not sure which one to get, is the HD one worth it? I am also worried the 3G speeds indoors will produce really poor quality feeds if it will even work, i wish there was a way to do a trial

When I download an app that promises live TV, I'm expecting to see channels like CNN, The History Channel, CBS, ABC, NBC, SpikeTV, SyFy, and others. Watching the news in Africa (in Swahili, no less) is NOT what I consider when I think about whether a live TV app is worth paying for. I mean, come on.. There are lots of apps already available (thechanner, webtv, more) that cover those types of channels very well. There are a few that would argue that SPB TV's interface is nicer, and as true as that may be - I don't base my decision to pay for the app on how nice its interface is - But by what content it can provide. |

agreed no channels = why buy...slingbox would still be ideal, just worried about the quality/download speeds
