I wondered why the game never played on landscape lol....but turning off tf3d does work for me

What gives,is it just me,am I doing something wrong,or is there some sort of of fix for this???????

For your info when I use to have the Mogul there was a ROM update that fixes the memory and it did fix it when I open an application and when I close app it closes the app. Before the upgrade the apps where not closing in backgroung and that is why you are getting allot of memory usages on mogul. Also TP2 works fine open many apps and close it and memory is back low. No problem using TP2

Re: Is it Just Me Or is The Touch Pro 2 Starting to Remind Some of The HTC PPC 6800

Hmmmm. I have a TP2 on the Sprint network. I tried the registry hack and it was set to 0. Do I use the number 0 or do I put the text zero. Dont mean to sound naive but I could not run the game. I tried the Clean Ram tool and that did not work for me either. The only thing that seemed to work is disable the Touch Flo 3D, but thats seem to be a bummer because I like the UI.

Any other suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated.

So its in fact tf3d2 thats causing the mem hog. I liked it more than any other UI out there. Including that carousel.

Changing it to 0 will set this as DYNAMIC. So instead of a bunch of pre-set apps being precached IMMEDIATELY, it does it dynamically. It will only raise the memory for the apps that you are currently using, etc.

Keep in mind, changing this REG does not affect speed in terms of opening applications, etc. Performance stays identical.

You will not notice IMMEDIATELY that this tweak has worked. You will notice later in the way when you notice your device won't idle higher than 65-70% usage anymore, and won't even get as high as 90% unless your running mad software on it lol.

Enjoy!
Thanks for the info! So is there any reason why everyone *shouldn't* make this registry change? Are there any negatives?

Re: Is it Just Me Or is The Touch Pro 2 Starting to Remind Some of The HTC PPC 6800

Afternoon all,

Does anyone know the memory usage of SPB v3 vs that of TF3D? I have begun to see some TF3D themes in SPB and thought it might be something to look at if memory usage is less.

Steve
