Re: TP2 ICS (internet conection sharing)

you have to disable cm guardian using dotfred's task manager or manually using the registry before you can attempt to install the ics cab. noone took into consideration that the cm guardian would be doing its job when creating cab.

1. Edit the following regestry entries.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
Extension="" Delete the "isext.dll" entry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings]
ForceCellConnection="Sprint"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
MaxCMCon=0

Re: TP2 ICS (internet conection sharing)

you have to set cm guardian to start manually in dotfred task manager(launch dotfred then click on the drop down and select services...cm guardian will be in there. once that is done then you can install the ics cab.

Re: TP2 ICS (internet conection sharing)

I have Sprint TP2 and I use PHM Regis Edit to do HKLM to change from Phone as Modem to "Sprint" and then soft reset, however after soft reset ForceCellConnection still pops up as Phone as Modem. It does not change to "Sprint" so every time I want to use internet sharing, I have to do HKLM. Does anyone have any idea why after I change HKLM to "Sprint", phone keeps popping back to "Phone as Modem"? Please advise.
