Wifi issues. Works @ home but not @ work

So my TP2 works fine with my wifi at home but it does not work at my job.

I entered the correct network key, it says I am connected but when I open opera or skyfire it tells me it can't find the remote server. The guy next to me has his ipod touch running on the wifi with no problems.

Anyone come across this? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Did you check under advanced to see if you actually had an IP address assigned to your device? We have a Cisco WPA network at work and I had to install a personal certificate to get it to connect although there is nothing about the Cisco config that required one. Also try sliding the power slider all the way to performance as that was also necessary, for the connection to work.

Re: Wifi issues. Works @ home but not @ work

I don't have a TP2 yet (just a TP) but I ran into the same thing.

Most (not all) businesses use wpa peap/mschap.v2 for their wifi security... and I don't know if it's a limitation of WM or the wifi chipset in the HTC devices but I can't get it to work. I see a lot of posts in other forums with the same issue but I have yet to find anyone list a viable solution.

If your buddy's iphone works, your company probably does not require server side certificate validation or personal certificates (check with him to see if he had to load any certs).
