3G Icon Taskbar

I installed Spike's 6.1 Taskbar Edited By Mighty Mike For CDMA Devices
and now I have a 1X icon, how can I get the 3G icon back.TP2 seems slower relative to data. Love the TP2, great cabs from all who have submitted

The taskbar wouldn't affect your actual speed, whether it shows a 1X or a 3G. You actually could just be getting 1X and it may be because of a different problem.

Myself and another member here are experiencing 3G problems. We've also gotten stuck in 1X a couple times. Sometimes a soft-reset fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes a *228 option 1 fixes, sometimes not. Yesterday, I was stuck in 1X all day and no matter what I did, I could not get out of it. After speaking with 3 techs at VZW I finally got a DMU reset from them. That fixed it (sort of). Now I have 3G back, but every other soft-reset causes it to go back to just 1X. So anytime I soft-reset, I have to do it twice to maintain 3G.

Can you tell me what phone you upgraded from on VZW? Did you happen to have a hacked Sprint TP activated on your account at some point?

We're going to make a thread about this to see if others are getting stuck in 1X.

I tried the *228 as well and a soft resets and they did not work. I did not have the issue until i installed the cab i mentioned. I upgraded from the Samsung i760 ( had it for over two years..was glad to say goodbye). Thank you for you suggestions and help.
I just did two soft resets and the EV icon is on the phone, very weird.
