Slide (open or close) = shut down!?

Has this happened to anyone else? currently on the stock sprint settings nothing custom.

Situation 1 (4X): (in closed position) open up text thread. (slide open) BLACK SCREEN (POWER IS OFF)

Situation 2 (1X): (Phone in Open position) Phone is ringing from a caller (Slide Close) BLACK SCREEN (POWER IS OFF).

Should i call sprint to raise cane?

Re: Slide (open or close) = shut down!?

The problem is poor placement of the 'sleep' button. I keep putting the thing to sleep with my left hand when i hold the phone in landscape mode. I am practicing holding it differently.

Re: Slide (open or close) = shut down!?

i agree with you there. However, the problem at hand is the fact that i am no where near the power button and when initiate the sliding motion it is completely shut down and have to hit the power button to start it back up. Maybe i wasn't as clear in the original post?

Re: Slide (open or close) = shut down!?

See my post on this. It started when opening the phone but it has now continued even while phone is closed. Mine is VZW so there may be a design defect in the ribbon cable.
