stopping txt message notifications

Im also having the same issue when you read the txt message the ringtone does not also dismiss with the message and stop it continues to play for example a song you cut for 30 sec if you read the message within that 10 secs of it the ringtone still plays for the remaining 20 sec is there a fix? to dismiss the ringtone after you read the message?

sometimes u want to hear a song in case your phone is not close and you dont miss the message its gotta be a way to fix this

not no that didnt work @ all im hoping the chefs r in da kitchen cookin up some 6.5 or custom 6.1 roms desperately needed @ this point w/ all da minor kinks this stock rom has......edit......... not necessarily 30 secs but @ least 15-20 secs so if im not close i can still know i got a txt

Pressing the End/Red key will mute notification (text, email, etc.) sounds. I remap the long press of my Volume Up key to simulate and End/Red key press using AEBplus. Hope this helps.

Programs like SPB Phone Suite give you an option for a notification every 1 minute, 15 min, or 30 min (I think those are the intervals) after missing an event such as txt, phone, voice mail, etc.

I realize not everyone wants to install a third party option for something like this, but to each their own. Just a suggestion.
