Remove camera shot sound - Page 3

Just a crazy thought, but I didn't see anyone else mention it, so I thought I would share. Does the Telus TP2 make the camera sounds when you have the volume properties on the phone set to vibrate or silent?

Slightly inconvenient, sure, but you could still sneak a few pictures of the hotties and not get caught.

As far as I know there is no work-around for it yet. The sound appears to be built into the camera app so deleting or changing the sound file is not an option, nor is a registry edit going to help.

Us Telus users will just have to suck it up and deal with the shutter sound until we are able to flash 3rd party roms!

or you could make a loud cough as it takes, disguise the sound...

my buddy at work has a omnia and he was trying to sneak pic this girl at work and all the sudden.. wwwwoooooooochhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa and a huge flash appeared lol he forgot to take off the flash and shutter sound.lol

I remember reading about a law going into effect, all camera phone will soon have to make a shutter sound no way to disable it. Can this be the law going into effect.

It is in effect in Japan. Even if passed here, there will always be a hack to disable it. I hate the shutter sound, so I would find a way.

Not everyone uses the silent shot taking for upskirt pictures. Some people (like myself) think it's just annoying

i'm not 100% sure if the law is in effect in canada (i'm in canada btw) but i did read about it saying that there HAS to be a shutter sound for all mobile devices. that said, i'd love to find a hack to get rid of it!
