I must have a magic battery...i unplugged my phone at 6 am had about 45 mins worth of calls, 30 min of browsing and Bluetooth on since 6 and now at 10pm i'm at 50%. but this is with the hacks so maybe it's not magic

I also paid $17 to get 2 batteries and a charger from a Chinese seller at eBay,the battery lasts 3 1/2 hours on internet radio stream,4 hours on OEM battery,so the Chinese made battery not bad at all.

According to my info page, here's my stats:

Last full charge: 6:35am
Standby time: 13 hours, 27 minutes
Talk time: 2 hours, 34 minutes
Device usage: 3 hours, 54 minutes (2 email accounts syncing every hour, plus me playing around)

I'm at 48%. It's midnight.

Take note that the CDMA TP has a 1340 mAh battery and the TP2 has a 1500mAh battery. The latter having a higher capacity.

My opinion is that this is the same situation that happened when the original TP came out. The stock software made the battery life SUCK and such hardcore. But we quickly figured out that HTC didn't optimize power settings and had a ton of power-save registry settings disabled. After we unlocked the TP, we were able to get better ROMs on our devices that were pre-optimized for battery and performance. Give it time, we'll work out the kinks.

Oh, and that's a lot more screen real-estate.

My battery is absolutely phenomenal on my tp2!

A full day with 60%-70% remaining.

This includes texting, push email (exchange) all day, automatic facebook updates, weather updates, push internet, palringo + msn mobile for atleast 4-5 hours outta the day.

The vx6875 battery actually lasts an entire day, while the vx6850 had to be charged multiple times to make it through the day. This is with 1 MSexchange account, set to push, 1 IMAP set to sync every 30, 1 POP3 set to sync every 15. 15 - 20 calls a day, with about 15 - 30 text messages. Love my TP2!!!

Hmm, I took mine off the charger between 11:00AM and noon and by the time I was out of class (6:45) the phone was totally drained. I hardly used it at all. And since I was in class, from 3:30 until 6:45 the device was unused and on the silent sound profile. When I took it out of my pocket after class it was a bit warm, too. I have two email accounts synched, one checking every 60 minutes, the other set to "arrive as received" or whatever Windows Live offers. Wifi off, BT off, don't see a "beam" setting as others have suggested.

When I got home I opened the dotfred Task Manager and sorted by CPU usage. VZOMobile.exe showed constant 5% CPU usage. This is a video chat program I got on the TP2 software thread on XDA that I had installed but never even used. I killed it but 5 mins later it was back on. I ran the program, then registered an account and logged in and then exited the program. Hasn't shown up on task manager since... weird. Could that small 5% constant CPU be the problem with my battery draining? It seems like such a small amount. Or was Task Manager maybe taking a share of the CPU and perhaps the VZOMobile.exe was taking more when it had CPU all to its own? The phone has been charging now for a while and seems very cool, whereas before it almost always seemed warm.

Also I should add, I got the phone Saturday, so maybe it's too early to judge the battery life.
