What are the chances that it's the phone and not the battery? I mean, how often is the phone the culprit and not the battery? It sounds to me like it would almost be exclusively a battery issue. How could the phone be the issue? Right now we're all just getting use to the TP2. It wouldn't surprise me though if a month of two from now we start finding out that HTC had some issue's with batches of batteries and thus there are some of us experiencing issues. |
Re: htc tp2 battery is weak
I am coming from a Sprint Mogul which only lasted around six hours at most on a full charge if I left IM+ on. Which the TP2, I have had the battery last almost 24 hours with IM+ on.

Re: htc tp2 battery is weak
Actually, more than likely, you've got all the radios on, and you've left Push Internet services on... that or a bad battery, in which case turn them off when you're not using them and replace the battery.
My battery is lasting longer than my extended TP1 battery did, and I definitely spent about 2 hours on the phone today, plus about 15 texts, 15 hours of email syncing, and lots of just playing around with it... still sitting at 50%. |
Re: htc tp2 battery is weak
goto settings, all settings, click on the battery that says "power". Slide over to one of the tabs on the right and it will tell you how long it's been since a full charge, how many minutes/hours spent in stand by, talk, something else. I would look on my phone, but I'm tethering on a road trip with my laptop.
