Connection Issue Syncing Facebook & Contact Card: Solved

I've been trying to use enter my Facebook login details in my contact card & every time I do I get a pop up box titled "Input Error" with a "Connection Failed" message inside.

I posted this question on the discussion board for the HTC Touch Pro2 group on Facebook and was told that if my Facebook password contained non alphanumeric characters, my connection would fail.

Sure enough, I changed my password to only contain alpha numeric characters and I can now connect. So if you have this problem, try doing the same.

I did this and its still happening. I am getting a connection refused.

So your password is only letters and numbers, with no symbols?

yeah. I changed it after I read your post. Not much info online about this issue that I can find.

I'm having the same problem...my password only has letters/numbers but I still get a "Connection failed"...

have you tried changing it anyway? is the password really long or unusual in any way? my old password had an & in it and once I changed to to something without that, it worked fine.

Same problem here and it is driving me nuts. Is there anything that needs to be turned on through facebook itself?

I changed my password and I still get the same error...

Called Verizon and they said it's facebook. They gave me 2 numbers for facebook technical support.

Trying to call facbook now....will let you know if i get it to work.

Figures no one is picking up.
