New Email Notification in slider not clearing...

I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2. It is showing that I have an unread email on the slider's email icon, but they have all been viewed. I have tried deleting the account and reinstalling, but still no luck. Is there a way to fix this problem?

this has happened to me before and the only way i found was hard reset, i tried everything...

Great, that's the last thing I want to do. Aside from this problem, I love this phone!

No one has any idea how to reset the slider icon, besides a hard reset?

Click 'Inbox' to see all your emails in list view, click 'Inbox' again in the upper left-hand corner to see all the folders and expand the 'Outlook E-mail' folder and see if there's an unread mail in the 'Inbox' after you expand that folder. That may be the culprit (I think Outlook puts a Tips & Tricks email in there).

Hahaha, such a simple fix. I remember seeing that email but not deleting it and just closing out. Before I saw your response, I had already remapped the left soft key to go to messaging.lnk. Thanks for the help.
