you might want to back that all up (especially if you have a POS Sandisk card)

I have had two 16 gig Sandisk cards go bad now & had to be replaced under warranty. No data was recoverable from either one by normal means.......

to perform a hard reset
1. With the device turned off, press and hold the volume down, talk/send, and end/power buttons until you see this message on the screen.
wiping user data/settings & any user installed applications... 1. Press volup to restore manufacturer default.2. Press voldown to restore custom configuration.3. Press other keys to cancel.
2. Release the volume down, talk/send, and end/power buttons.
3. Press the volume up button to restore the operating system to the factory default configuration, press the volume down button to restore the factory default configuration and remove any operator customization, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
using clear storage
if you can access the device settings, you can use clear storage to reset your device back to factory default settings.
1. Tap
start > settings, and then tap all settings.
2. On the
system tab, tap memory > clear storage tab.
3. Enter "1234", tap ok and then tap yes to confirm.
worked like a charm !!!!

Re: Hard Reset Verizon Touch Pro2

Hmm... I'm running into an interesting quandry, I can get to the hard-reset screen, but afterwards it just sits there on the HTC loading screen, not booting whatsoever. Is this referred to as bricking the phone? I had just flashed up to MR2 after running a rom, intending relock it afterwards

Re: Hard Reset Verizon Touch Pro2

Not sure what you did to get where you are, which is probably important.

You don't have to unlock to flash MR2, just download it to your PC and follow instructions found on the PCD website.

Re: Hard Reset Verizon Touch Pro2

Newp, it was already unlocked, then I saw the upgrade notice for MR2, did some reading, some people had issues with it after flashing on an unlocked phone. So I saw a couple places that said to re-lock it after flashing mr2. MR2 now makes the phone not get past the HTC boot screen, I can hard reset till I'm blue in the face, but I'm pretty sure this phone is f-ed. Asurion is sending me an imagio, and I'll only have to deal with that till march anyways, then it's off to 4g land at verizon.

Re: Hard Reset Verizon Touch Pro2

Have a question about hard reset. When I first got my TP2 i flashed a couple of different roms no problem. I put something on it (can't remember) but had to do a hard reset. After reset had to dial the #8whatever to reactivate. When i would dial out is says its not authenticated and send me to verizon. They have to clear out all info on their end and reset the phone to get it working again. I've now had to do this twice. both times it happened was when i flashed back to stock vzw 6.5. Any body have any ideas about this. Now i'm scared to even mess with flashing it again...verizon's getting pissed at me.

You MUST be hardspl locked to flash the MR2 verizon rom. Once you've locked it with the relocker, then flash it again and all is fine.

i've had similar problem. every once in a while, after i hard reset, i have to dial *228 to activate my phone. Sometimes the *228 does not work and gives me some dudes voice recording. All i do is manual load a verizon prl and then *228 works after that. it's really easy. i just keep the prl file on my mem card, then whenever i need it i just dial ##775 send and load it. Hope that helps you. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

What razorloves said. Basically you re-lock THEN flash. But I'm thinking you really wanted that imagio

basically, the prl tells your phone which cell towers to use. what prl do you currently have? go to your system settings, and open Device Information and you'll see
