Well that sucks that it happened to you but that is not the function of the Clear Storage program. It only does a hard reset and does not touch the microSD card. This is very well known information. It is recommended to do a clear storage after a rom flash all over the touch pro upgrade forums and discussed plenty and you are the only one that says this.

Remove your battery.
Install your battery. (Do not turn device on yet)
Hold Talk + End
Then use your 3rd arm (hehe) to hold power.

I'm not saying thats what it's function is... but you are coming off as if ITS NOT POSSIBLE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

Maybe it was a fluke? No idea.... Either way, I would rather be safe than sorry when I have tons of important information on my microsd card.

there is no top power button on the verizon tp2. i posted the instructions for you on the previous page.
The top button on the verizon tp2 is the sleep button. The power button is the red end button.

Re: Hard Reset Verizon Touch Pro2

All of these methods may be in other forums and in the manual but nothing posted so far actually works on the Verizon TP2.

And BTW, clear storage on the VZW TP2 is actually in settings>system>memory>clear storage not in settings>system.

I swear I've followed those instructions to a T, but I'll try again

Edit: Okay, I was wrong. I misread the instructions that razorloves posted. Where it says:

Quote:
1. With the device turned off
It literally means with the device powered down. I thought it just meant off as in turning the power off with the button on top.

Re: Hard Reset Verizon Touch Pro2

Verizon made the hard reset button combination on the tp2 different from everyone elses tp2, just like they did with the tp1. So, you get a bunch of sprint (and others) people giving the wrong information on how to do a hard reset, so just make sure you are following the verizon instructions.
