Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent

I didn't delete it but changed it to 0, and I'm seeing the same thing as you now. It still makes that message sent sound though. Maybe I'll track that file down and see if I can delete it. |

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent
Oh my, this is going to make me throw the damn thing across the room. I unfortunately don't know enough to really help, but if anyone has any suggestions, I will be more than happy to try them out. Just let me know. I will be watching intently for a change..
Speed... EDIT: I also posted this question at XDA so between the two sites hopefully someone will be able to figure it out.

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent
I just did a hard reset. Afterward, without installing any tweaks or programs, the default behavior is for a message sent pop up box to display in the middle of the screen and then it disappears after a seconds. It doesn't make any sound either.
When doing the hard reset there was an option to do it "with customizations" and "without". I chose the one "with customizations". I wonder if we did the one without if it would be any different. |

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent
Actually I just hard reset again. I can't see any difference between with or without the customizations. Either way you end up with the exact same setup post hard reset.

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent
This may be a bit chaotic to read, but give these registry settings a try... specifically, change the Options to 0 or 5 and indicated, and the AvailableOptions should be 15. If it works, I'll explain what's going on and why it works.
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{3C850506-07F3-6035-E8F9-C29F19A93AF2} name="Options" value="0" datatype="integer" name="AvailableOptions" value="15" datatype="integer" name="Default" value="Messaging: Downloading MMS" datatype="string" name="Wave" value="\Windows\Alarm3.wma" datatype="string" name="Duration" value="0" datatype="integer" HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{3C781384-05F3-4035-A8F9-C23F19A93AF0} name="Options" value="0" datatype="integer" name="AvailableOptions" value="15" datatype="integer" name="Default" value="Messaging: MMS downloaded" datatype="string" name="Wave" value="\Windows\Alarm3.wma" datatype="string" name="Duration" value="0" datatype="integer" HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{70C48D00-C1A6-43cf-B4C5-5B4E771E2462} name="Options" value="0" datatype="integer" name="AvailableOptions" value="15" datatype="integer" name="Default" value="Messaging: MMS sent" datatype="string" name="Wave" value="\Windows\Alarm3.wma" datatype="string" name="Duration" value="0" datatype="integer" HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408} name="Options" value="5" datatype="integer" name="Wave" value="\Windows\Alert-Shine.wma" datatype="string" name="Duration" value="0" datatype="integer" name="AvailableOptions" value="15" datatype="integer" name="Default" value="Messaging: New e-mail message" datatype="string" HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{C3465585-39EF-4c9b-B2A3-5558BF27BFB0} name="Options" value="5" datatype="integer" name="AvailableOptions" value="15" datatype="integer" name="Wave" value="\Windows\Alert-Bubbles.wma" datatype="string" name="Default" value="Messaging: New MMS" datatype="string" name="Duration" value="0" datatype="integer" HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{0CD9B91C-BEA7-446d-9857-BD2F1E6BFE80} name="Options" value="0" datatype="integer" name="AvailableOptions" value="15" datatype="integer" name="Default" value="Messaging: New MMS report" datatype="string" name="Wave" value="\Windows\Alarm3.wma" datatype="string" name="Duration" value="0" datatype="integer" HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65B-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408} name="Wave" value="\Windows\Alert-Dopple.wma" datatype="string" name="Duration" value="0" datatype="integer" name="Options" value="5" datatype="integer" name="AvailableOptions" value="15" datatype="integer" name="Default" value="Messaging: New text message" datatype="string" HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{3C850505-06F3-5035-C8F9-C25F19A93AF1} name="Options" value="0" datatype="integer" name="AvailableOptions" value="15" datatype="integer" name="Default" value="Messaging: Sending MMS" datatype="string" name="Wave" value="\Windows\Alarm3.wma" datatype="string" name="Duration" value="0" datatype="integer"

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent
You're right that is a chaotic read haha.. We only have this issue with text messaging not with MMS. In that case, can I try setting only the last 2 you listed?

Re: Disable VZW TP2 Message Sent
I would give it a go if only I had my TP2 (9/15). I have been, however filtering through all the RGU files and such from the shipped ROM. But all of the registry entries you are refering to are for MMS or is there something I am missing? Also, I came here just now to ask someone if they could let me know what alert tone the 'Message Sent Notification' is using. Could someone please check for me? Thanks!
