oh ok, gotcha, i thought that u thought(lol), it was gonna work here.... yeah i wouldnt want spritn rates either...

in sprints TP2 though, theres nothing to unlock... just goto to the same security settings and it says unlocked right out of the box... thats why i told OP i hope he didn thave to pay for something

Yes, but your on Telus. The catch was the Verizon and Sprint phones weren't supposed to work on US GSM carriers regardless of unlock.

I just placed a test call and the phone rings and works normally on AT&T.

i stand corrected i guess on the working part... wonder why sprint wont work like that then...

you should probably fix your title to "SOLVED" instead of "nooooooo" since that leads people to believe it doesnt work, when in fact it does....

so u just gonna leave your phone on global now??

and why not show the unlock for all you VZW guys, u said they just gave it to you...why make everyone call in too..

Thanks again isdnmatt... I called Verizon Global Services and he gave me 2 codes in case the first one didn't work. The first one worked fine.

Can you make a call with that AT&T Sim? Does the sim show different number beside your Telus number? Please advise.

I know your phones come "unlocked", but are you guys only allowed to use Sprints SIM card or can you pop in a 3rd party companies card?

Not really screwed us, but more like unfair to us Sprint owners. If VZW TP2 can do US-GSM carriers with an OFFICIALLY provided unlock code, where Sprint simply says no subsidy lock (maybe it's just lying so you don't even have a chance to unlock it) and locks down the US-GSM carriers, then it's just simply unfair for us.

Heck, we even paid more for the phone too.

I'm going to dig into the registries and such to find out exactly, what is blocking it.

As for official 6.5 upgrade, yeah it'll be a while before Sprint release it. Way before then the HardSPL would be out and hey, who knows, maybe it's a done deal.
