manually specifing IP for WiFi

i cannot seem to figure out how to specify manual IP/gateway for wifi to connect to home LAN.

i do not have DHCP enabled and would like to manually add the network IP to the phone.

anyone know?

Re: manually specifing IP for WiFi

actually i was going nuts figuring out my evdo internet wasn't working.

appearently when i manually set IP for home wifi this stops evdo from working, i guess manually specifying IP for wifi adapter affects it from being able to connect on the sprint side. the only way i was able to reconnect to evdo was to set IP back to automatic.

anyone have ideas why is this? doesn't make sense as i am altering the 802.11 wifi adapter IP, not the sprint connection.

Re: manually specifing IP for WiFi

It's the WM build they use.

Here is a "work around", it's called WIFI Profiles.

You set a profile with your manual IP address in it, then enable that profile when you want to get on wifi, then set another profile as EVDO and enable that when you want EVDO back. Kind of bootleg, but it works.
