I just want to add... CHECK THE COVERAGE MAPS CAREFULLY! I travel between towns a lot and sprint/tmob as NO coverage between cities in my town. ATT was ok, Verizon was the best. Just be careful with these sprint/tmob plans, you might just simply have no coverage in areas where you are. But you might be ok with that! |
Re: Sprint Touch Pro2 Price match with Verizon
I e-mailed Sprint about Verizon's $149 price (that's what it was when I price out a TP2 and plan on VZW's site) and Sprint e-care was able to give me a service credit of $150 to bring the price down to $199. I'm also on SERO, so it is highly YMMV as to getting service credits to bring the price of the phone down.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro2 Price match with Verizon
Has anyone been able to get a discount while using the eChat to talk to customer service?

Re: Sprint Touch Pro2 Price match with Verizon
I talked to retentions today and they showed no mercy. They just said I needed the $129 family plan take it or leave it. Guess I have to leave it and stay with my Mogul or go with Verizon who provide the same services for $85. What are the options for email or other ways into the negotiations?

Re: Sprint Touch Pro2 Price match with Verizon
I wonder how many of you people tried your whining and crying at other providers and saw how far that got you. The great lot of you are on SERO plans, have been patiently waiting for this phone, and now cry foul because Sprint will not credit equipment the way they used to. You are on a $30 unlimited text/data plan. This plan has been in existence when data usage was NOT that high, where it was financially feasible for Sprint to make the rate plan available. If you don't like the cost of the equipment, LEAVE. You are doing Sprint no favors by hanging around with your $30 rate plan (in some cases DISCOUNTED $30 rate plan) and I bet the great lot of you will eventually just bite the bullet and purchase a secondhand TP2 on eBay or craigslist. Kudos to Sprint for finally putting the lockdown on equipment and standing up for themselves.
Just an FYI, Verizon will have no qualms charging you $199.99 for a TP2, being that they are making $75 more on the monthly charges compared to you SERO Sprint customers. $59.99 for 450 minutes with unlimited text, and the "correct" $44.99 data package. $75 x 24 = 1800 - $250 differential on the device = $1550 more they are making over the length of the contract. Verizon is laughing all the way to the bank. I have another bit of bad news for you - You SERO customers are NOT getting your mail-in rebate. http://www.nextel.com/en/stores/popu...ls_popup.shtml I for one, will bite the bullet and hold onto my TP1 and TEP insurance and hope that they will replace my device with a TP2 one day (as they did for Mogul owners to the TP1). I mean, the TP1 isn't even a year old yet! Just quit yer *****ing, seriously. |

I have another bit of bad news for you - You SERO customers are NOT getting your mail-in rebate. http://www.nextel.com/en/stores/popu...ls_popup.shtml Actually I believe that there is a special rebate form for Sero/Referral accounts. I just mailed mine in. http://www.nextel.com/assets/pdfs/en...mir_103109.pdf |
Re: Sprint Touch Pro2 Price match with Verizon
Select devices require activation on an Everything plan with data or Sprint Business AdvantageSM Messaging and Data plan.
Instant savings available as mail-in rebate in select locations. Ask a sales rep for details. This is for the "new" SprintĀ® Everything PlusSM SERO plan starting at $59.99. Not our older $30 SERO plan. Hey, you might get lucky though. |
