Verizon TP2 is now available the their website

Exactly guys, only that price if you qualify for new every 2. What a steal huh? I thought it was a mistake when I checked available discounts for my line on the web.

Can't beat it for $100.00 bucks. I wasn't positive I was gonna upgrade, until I saw it with that price attached! The original Touch Pro was discounted to FREE! Haha!

Glad I never had the VZ Ouch Pro. Although, I will be happy to have the VZ TP2. Funny how things change. I won't know what to do, not having a Sprint device on VZ to have to reprogram every so often.

To get the discounts immediately, you have to order online though. Otherwise you will wait for the rebate in the form of a debit type card.

But if you have the new TP2 purchase added to your bill, by the time it hits your bill the debit card will already be here and you can apply it to your bill to pay for it when it's due. Thats a win no matter what.

maybe i haven't read into this enough, but i just went online to buy a tp2 w/a new verizon plan and it was $199. do i need to do anything extra to get the $99 price?

You have to have an NE2 credit available.

go to your account page and go to "my device" and there you should see your status about NE2

it all depends on your plan and the date of your contract

hmm seems a little odd to me that current customers get a better rate than a new customer... oh well, $199 is still a great price considering i can sell my tp1 for what i'm buying the tp2 for!

Yes it is for VZW customers only, basicaly just an incentive to resign a contract with them when yours is out or almost out. After Febuary 09 the NE2(New Every Two) is only for $30 or $50. Hope that helps
