I'm not seeing any issues with Genesis games, can you be more specific? There is a strange paint problem occurring where it won't repaint the main window, but the menus still work. I haven't seen any problems exiting games (remember that it's a double-tap to pause/unpause). I appreciate feedback and bugs, but please provide lots of details such as the steps you took to recreate the problem, and the specific game which exhibited the problem.

Am I doing something wrong? + use your older build all the time, but this new build freezes whenever I launch a game - I have to soft reset. I am launching it from my sd card. Any thoughts?

When i launch nes games everything works just fine except for the fact that it runs kind of slow compared to previous builds. But when I attempt to lauch genesis games( that worked fine on previous builds) the screen just goes black.Nothing else happens. The game does not launch at all. The only thing that works is the screen pausing when i double tap and the file soft key and the x button on the top right corner(which by the way is the only way i can exit out of the program. When I hit exit game nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong with the setup? All I did was download the new build and launch it and i started having these problems. Could it be since I got a new phone that this is causing me these problems. I deleted the old build off my device and tried to install it again with the same results. I need help. Im a loyal customer and these problems started happening ever since the demo expired message popped up. By the way Im on nrgz april 1st 21899 rom...but this has never been a problem in the past.

The slowness may be a communication thread issue. I'll test it on all of my devices and see if something is wasting time in the background.

Some of the issues you are seeing may be related to the keys definitions being messed up. Since I started adding support for 6-button controllers, you will need to redefine all of your key settings. You may be pressing keys that are pausing/loading/resetting the game.

Further investigation has confirmed that reset, quick load, quick save are broken in the new build and you are probably hitting them accidentally because of the wrong key definitions.

P.S. Anyone interested in Capcom CPS1 emulation? I've written a ton of coin-op emulators and that system seems like a good place to start adding them to SG. The 384x224 image will fit nicely on 800x480 displays.

Any thoughts Bitbank? I am running a vzw TP2 with the stock winmo 6.5 rom. Not too much hackery on this one - can still play the old version just fine, but the new one will not launch a game. I even tried launching it in landscape like I do with the old one and still no joy. I really like the idea of being able to shortcut straight to games - and would even be okay with paying an upgrade fee as I bought your app at least 2 years ago if not longer. Any help would be great.

PS - it is awesome that you are on here and actively talking with your customers

I agree 100% I dont know what happened. i cant access any games on this build or the old build now. when i open a rom the screen just goes black like it wants to load but never does. when i exit then try to go back on the home screen it shows that the game was running (lower box on home screen), But there is no picture or sound when i try to play a game.
I dont want to have to hard reset my phone(especially since i finally flashed to a rom a like,) because I dont know if this will solve the problem.
Any other suggestions? I tried changing the button settings with no success.

It may be the changes to the settings (video). Go to settings for that game and set all of the options the way that you like and try again.

I am no big fan of games. I usually use my TP for web, work, financial and photo editing... But i am trying out smartgear trial and I am amazed. It works great on my TP2- no issues so far... Will play with it so more (before buying) to be sure no other issues arise. Like I said, I am NO game player. But this brings back memories; punchout is one of my favs. Looking for MB3 now...

Okay, gamers... if you would like for the HTC Touch Pro 2 to get a gamepad like the one for the Droid...the company (Game Gripper) that makes it- has a survey (request form) on their site. I filled it out. It asks for the model, what color would you prefer the pad be, and if there is an emulator available for it. I linked this thread on the part for additional comments...I will buy this emulator if a gamepad is available... check it out!

Game Ripper Game Pad. That would be the perfect solution if the rest of the keyboard could be used for mapping. Don't know why they haven't gotten that one figured out yet. TP2 has some weird key mapping issues in which you have to use KforRaphael to config 8 more buttons on the very left half of the board. See, it would work IF one could map a D pad on the left... AND map at least 6 buttons on the right hand side. But I don't think that works yet.

I liked playing games on my Motorola Q9M because it has a D-Pad. Made game playing a breeze and fun.... not tedious like on the TP2.
