Also make sure it does not conflict with your schedule by un-checking the setting that says only during free time.

While your at it map the long press send 2 vc that should enable it to always be running even after soft-reset.

Go ahead and play with VC to make sure its running properly.

Hold down send/call button and say "what is my battery level" or Whats my signal strength"

If your voice command is configured and working properly it will say your battery level or your signal strength in percentages.

Call your phone and see if it will announce the calls.
