Removing Live Search?

How can I remove the one that the phone shipped with? the new one is called Bing Search and it doesn't remove the prior Live Search program.

I have the same question! It doesnt show up[ in the remove program list but Bing doesnt replace it

I don't think you can delete it since it came on the phone. You maybe able to mask/hide it but you can't delete it. Gotta wait until we get the HardSPL. Its kinda like IE, some if not most don't use it but you can't just delete it off the phone you either A) don't use it B) Hide it or C) flash a new rom without it installed, but C..... you gotta wait for..

I'm not sure if this would work, but it might be worth a shot if you really want to remove it. If you're able to find a copy of Live Search (not Bing) and install that, it might overwrite or at least "upgrade" the copy on the phone, then you should uninstall Live Search from the Remove Programs list.

This worked for me, thank you.

Found an older version of LiveSearch for 6.0 and installed. Removed it and it removed the Live Search folder in programs, as well as the pesky "Live Search" start menu item that remained hidden (even searching hidden and system files using Resco Explorer!).

I like Bing (and previously Live Search) but when the two aren't playing nice together (or Bing isn't un-installing older versions of Live Search as advertised) it's really annoying.

Yep, just completed a soft reset and Live Search stayed away.
