Re: How do you tether with the Sprint touch pro 2
Can you point me in the direction of a tutorial for doing this? I used to tether using USB Modem with my TP1, but it has been a while and I want to make sure when I go away I know how to do it with my TP2.
I have a MacBook Pro running 10.6.2 |

Well first you should install the Stealth mode cab in the tweaks sticky.
Then as for choices to share, there is using ICS or there are other tools such as: HTC WIFI ROUTER WMWIFIROUTER PDANET And one more but forgot its name(but its annoying to config, it was made on XDA) I have used wmwifirouter before but since I got a new TP2 I'm trying the HTC WIFI ROUTER which I think was token off the Topaz, so far it seems the easiest to configure and does not require ICS.

HTC WIFI ROUTER I do not see ICS running in background...and I remember reading somewhere it is not required. I'm just saying that out of all options HTC WIFI Router seems the most hassle free, in no way did I claim it is better. |

Re: How do you tether with the Sprint touch pro 2
That's what I use. When I was first looking at the TP last year, I inquired about their phone as modem charges. They told me that it was $40/mo., and that was almost a show stopper for me since I rarely have the occasion to use my phone as a tether. I found someone here suggested PdaNet so I looked into it. At a one time charge of $34, it's less than one month's fee at Sprint, so I got it, and it's so easy to use and usually works flawlessly. Since I rarely use it, I doubt that Sprint would ever feel that I'm abusing my data connection.
