Re: How do you tether with the Sprint touch pro 2
I haven't actually shared the internet yet, but my phone gave me a menu with one of the options being "Internet Sharing: Use phone as modem." I haven't edited the registry or anything yet, so they would probably know the difference doing this out-of-box.

They would be able to tell if you use this feature out of the box, so make sure you make the registry change.

Re: How do you tether with the Sprint touch pro 2
try this
Tethering - tested and works with TP 1. Edit the following regestry entries. Hard part is finding a registry editor, but they are out there: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing] Extension="" Delete the "isext.dll" entry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings] ForceCellConnection="Sprint" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing] MaxCMCon=0 2. Start the Internet Sharing application. 3. Hit Connect In the Internet Sharing application. 4. Connect the TP2 to the Laptop/PC via USB 5. Done. No other applications needs to run on the PC/Laptop. |

After making the change I can tether but after a soft reset it reverts back to "Phone as Modem" In other words to tether I need to redo that registry change each time- do you know how to fix this?? |

Re: How do you tether with the Sprint touch pro 2
When I install this cab i get unsuccesful because of permissions. I have already installed the stealth cab. I installed some other wif router program that work but none of them added it to the connection manager.
