Re: How to stop defaulting back ot the home tab
Update from HTC
I understand how frustrating it can be when a device does not function as expected. At this time we do not have an estimate as to when a fix will be available for the Home tab while on call issue you are experiencing. From my understanding you may be able to avoid the issue completely by turning off any screen lock password you have enabled on your device. Other than that, it appears you may already know the common work arounds, such as pressing the phone key to bring the phone application back up, or using the hardware keyboard numbers to dial. I apologize for any frustration this situation may have caused you. You should be able to register with the HTC e-Club and receive notification via e-mail whenever a fix is released for your device on the www.htc.com web page. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us again or check www.htcwiki.com as well. We also invite you to participate in our feedback survey at survey.htc.com/worldwide. We enjoy getting feedback from our customers and look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, |

Re: How to stop defaulting back ot the home tab
i received this reply from HTC support today:
Unfortunately this is normal functionality from the Sprint Touch Pro2 to return to the Today screen when the device is placed into Hibernation Mode. The only work around for this concern is to not allow your device to go into Hibernation Mode. You can also disable the backlight timer on your device. This option will dramatically lower the amount of battery life that is used on your device. Go on your device to Settings, All Settings, System, Power, and choose the Backlight Tab. From here you can uncheck the box to enable to backlight on your device. |

Re: How to stop defaulting back ot the home tab
I know if you use a third party lock program it will fix the problem. Any other stable lock programs out there because i am tired of my phone defaulting back to home especially when i am on a phone call. Yes i know there is S2u2 but i herd so many negatives about the program. I just want something light that can stop the defaulting back to home.
