Restore a TP1 Backup?

First off...loving the TP2...even if the screen was the only change...it is a great improvement for my eyes!

That being said...I still prefer Mobile Shell 3. I want to restore my TP1 image...Do you think there is any issues with restoring a Sprite Backup from TP1?

Do I need to worry abput any real problems because if the changes with TF? Thanks

Re: Restore a TP1 Backup?

For the record...it didn;t work with all programs...I started from scratch

I will say that the TP2 seems faster with my apps...especially MSDict and Pocket Quicken to name two...Cool...

Re: Restore a TP1 Backup?

I suggest using My Phone. It works really well and got rid of all the issues I used have recovering with PIMBackup. Not to mention you can organize all your stuff via the web.

Re: Restore a TP1 Backup?

I had major issues using SPBackup just going from Mogul to Mogul, when one had 6.0 and the replacement had 6.1

Re: Restore a TP1 Backup?

Well I gave up on trying to get Sprite to work...I am almost done reinstalling EVERYTHING (wow...sure takes a lot of time entering codes, setting it backup, etc)...but almost there!

Probably have to do it all again with 6.5 though

Re: Restore a TP1 Backup?

I was able to successfully install the PIM files, but everything else - wouldn't work. I got a few things installed. I ended up doing a hard reset, sticking with the imported PIM files and installing the rest manually.

Re: Restore a TP1 Backup?

Yup...sucks...but I got everything just the way I like it again! I use MS3, so that two is dialed in...I am not looking forward to doing this again with 6.5...I wonder if MS3 will even work with that? In addition, I hope MS3 is fixed to work with the phone notifiaction tabs; it does not work with 3.0.1
