Is anyone buying the TP2 without new contract / upgrade deal? - Page 2

I bought it full price from Telus even after getting a deal on the TP1 only 4 months ago - so I got scr#$ed in many many ways.. but I knew what I was getting into and love the phone. Immediately took it overseas and used it unlocked... couldn't do that on the CDMA TP....

What do you mean you used it unlocked. Are you saying you got your Pro2 Sim Unlocked

I will because Sprint is showing me no LOVE at all, I really have a propblem with my keyboard and will not give me a discount on the new phone.......
So I will be paqying like $600.00 cause you pay $533.00 with you upgrade anyways.

Nygel, check that post "stuck on defective tp1, Sprint Bsing me" that guys found away around paying for his Tp2.

I have talked to all depts. at Sprint and those guys are bananas, they will do nothing, Ihave been with Sprint and Nextel since before they merge but I am not a good customer, been thru alot of lies and BS but still here. so thats why I will not be renewing my contract!

you should do what i'm doing and keep getting the refurbed tp1s. sooner or later, they'll run out. besides, after having this since it 1st came out, the first build was crap so you're better off waiting anyway.

Almost $700 for a phone with taxes? I'm a tech junkie myself but that's just silly as hell for the minor upgrade from TP to TP2. Not to mention they're the first generation and knowing HTC... are pretty much guaranteed to have problems. Nope... ill wait its not that serious.

Brown hornet, these guys must be loaded. Hell for $700 i could get a close to new ASUS 16" gaming laptop with a 9800GS 3d card.

Yep, I did paid $599.00 (Ah!). I used up my 2 yr ren in Dec 2008 with the TP1. I never do a 1 year in that I believe you get MUCH more at the 2 yp point.

I do not have any clout with Sprint in that I have a 30 SERO and trying to leave they would just laugh and let me!
