Yeah it is true. You could Pre Order the phone. I am going to wait until Best Buy get there stash.

So i gave in and just ordered my touch pro 2! total came out to $510 ($60 worth of taxes as I live in CA -_-) was eligble for the $150 upgrade and $100 rebate. Had the activation and shipping cost waived. SERO F&F 500 plan was a go and had no problem with getting that carried over (2 yr contract renewal of course) Also was able to apply the charges to my account without a probelm. Shipping was estimated at 2-5 business days but hoping it will come in sooner! whoo hooo =)

I just got denied a Touch Pro 2 as well because I'm on SERO--1-888-503-3078. Was told I'd have to upgrade.

This is starting to look consistent. I wonder with those who are successfully ordering, if there will be a problem with activation? Hmmm...

On the other hand, I got free "Pick 5" and my fee for Air Rave waived. lol

he has a 99$ plan and he got 1 month free for renewing his contract, thus the discount...not that he officially got his phone cheaper.

sicne its windows mobile ,can;t we activate the phones ourselves? They had a policy for a while where PDA, phones instinct and Palm Pre don't work...but PDA phones we all know work...Since some of us got it, my guess the denial is due to agent training and not the system actually denying it.

I would try again, I was able to swap my Touch Pro for the Touch Pro 2 even though I bought my first one back in February but because I have had a couple of exchanges they have something new called the WEL List were if you have had a couple of exchanges you can exchange for a different device. Normally this is done through a Cooperate Store but Advance Technical Support said they would do it for me.

I would call back and try a different Rep Mal and see what they say.
