I have SERO. You guys say the retail price is $450, so if I am eligible for my $150 rebate I can get the touch pro 2 for $300 technically.

I am guessing that $100 discount is a Everything plan discount?

Definitely retarded, with amazon selling Tmobiles version for $150 and the IPhone selling for $199 Sprint is shooting themselves in the foot...

T-mobile's price is high too. I am going to wait to see if Amazon sells Sprint's phone for less. Though I suspect Amazon won't be able to renew a SERO account, so there is probably no point.

No, I think retail price is $599. $450 is what you pay out of pocket for being a new customer or upgrade eligibility. Then you have the $100 mail-in rebate bringing it down to $350.

I don't think that is how it works. The phone is $600. Your $150 upgrade credit brings it to $450. You get a $100 rebate, so the phone costs you $350.

ETA: freeza said it first.

With your upgrade you will be able to purchase the TP2 for $349.99. You qualify for $150 of retail plus any mail in rebates.

And if that is the case then a big fat NO. This could be the worse selling smart phone in history at that price. Looks like I will have to wait and see what the Hero pricing is.

so what will these things sell for on ebay....hum.....

Re: sprint tp2 price

yeah, 350 is a bit steep for this phone. Maybe a 3rd party dealer (best buy, radio shack, simply wireless) will have a better deal.

Do you guys think the price is so high because they really want to gear the phone to business users and not exactly general consumers (who alot of just want a cool looking phone but dont know what to do with it). They dont dont want regular consumers buying it..........they want business clients who prolly wouldnt care about the price tag!!!
*just a thought*

Yeah, but still, with businesses experiencing the pinch as well I doubt they will gladly pick these up at the rate they would have before the recession.
This is just ridiculous. I mean the specs are the same as the TP and the Operating System is STALE compared to any new OS out there ( In as much as I love WM), this is not a win for the consumer.
It's just a BAD way for sprint to shoot themselves in the foot, and they are Bleeding customers. To think I was waiting so much for this
