Seriously though. In an alternate universe there is an iphone PPCG-style forum out there where a htc fanboy has started a thread stating that "other than the rendering on an iphone, what else does an iphone offer compared to a TP2?".

Personally, I could care less. I did not buy the phone for its' graphic performance, or lack there of. It does what I need it to...or perhaps what I've come to expect it can do....hmmm?

Some people just love to hate Apple, others HTC / M$ / whomever else. You obviously feel very strongly about the issue at hand...hence the quest to get your message out there, and out there, and out there. Keep up the good work

Ok.. be honest with me. Really.. seriously honest and no fooling around. If the iphone had Wm6.1, 6.5 or WM 7 and was fully unlock and you could activate it thru any carrier. Would you buy it? DOnt gimme that BS of "Ohh HTC rulez hax0r!"

<p>One of my buddies works at this 3rd pary cell repair center. They carry everything there. THey had a Telus one and I immediately headed over after work. But I wouldnt give that a-hole any of my Personal Sprint info... they are a bit odd if you know what I mean. lol</p>

I did not watch the videos you linked to, and for one reason only. Not because I don't want to see what my device could do if htc/qualcomm got there acts together, but because I'm sure there is a comparison to Apple in there and that simply does not interest me.

I don't hate a lot of things...it's such a strong word....but I hate Apple, the company. I am not a fanboy of any particular device. I do like my TP2. Sure it's a little big, but the screen real estate and exceptional keyboard outweigh that...no pun intended. I personally don't believe there's a perfect device out there...not yet anyway.

It is missing the drivers for the ATI ImageOn chip..aka we have a GPU and its not being used. The GPU is capable of increasing performance up to 4x or more.

It makes me no nevermind that the graphics are not up to iphone standards. I don't play games (well, maybe UNO), don't drink fake beer (wtf??) or have the need to impress anyone with 3d rendering. I rarely watch a movie on the phone (who's got the time..).

I've been using WM since it's early dawn, and even then I heavily relied on the ability to copy & paste - and it could do it!

I appreciate the big screen & the finger friendlyness, and that it's still a WM, which I need. (I used to lug a pda & a cell around).

Since I don't have a choice who manufactures these phone (no others available), it's not very plausible that I will "punish" HTC by not buying their product.

but if its strictly a driver issue, you would think some of the genusis around here and xda could figure out how to enable it?
