HTC Touch Pro 2...4G capable??? - Page 7

Wow, this went from "Is the TP2 4G capable" to who gets the best phones first, my country is better than yours, etc, etc. Wish I hadn't even clicked here, that's time I'll never get back.... If you don't like the phones here, go elsewhere to get them, it's as easy as that. I'll take second rate phones and crappy service providers, considering everything else I get here in the US.... Just sayin'....

well said. not only that but outside of the original touch hd, whats the last highly desirable phone that we havent gotten in the u.s.?

(oh and for the record, WHO GIVES A **** IF "MY PHONE IS BETTER THEN YOURS", as long as we both like OUR OWN phones, then everybody wins).

TG01, TG02, LG Optimus, I think, and quite a few others.

lg phones are hardly highly desirable. not sure about the tg02 but the tg01 didnt recieve the greatest reviews.its selling point was that it was the first phone with a snapdragon. evo, droid x both head of class phones and us exclusives. the usa hd2 (had more ram stock than euro version) etc. times have changed in our favor looks like companies are preferring the us market for their flagship devices

Lol, Your first sentance was EXACTLY what I was thinking when I read his post.

Not to start a flame war, but in my (professional) opinion, If the phone is not an HTC, then it IS NOT highly desirable. For me its HTC or nothing.

(yeah, im an HTC fanboy, and thats alright)

It was at the time, if you wanted a high-res phone with a 1GHz processor. And if LG does not bring those of their phones that are desirable here, that kinda proves my point anyway.

From my experience with Motorolas, I would not call their products desirable either, but that's just me.

Really, if I felt like searching through GSMArena or some place like that, I could come up with more high-end phones that never made it to the US.

The point is that in contradiction to the post I originally replied to, US market does not matter all that much to many manufacturers (Nokia? Sony-Ericsson? Sharp?), and does not matter at all to others (Seen many Panasonic oк Toshiba/Fujitsu phones here?).

Not to get into a flamewar about mobile OSs or respective mertis of different manufacturers, but as much as I like my TP2, HTC isn't the be-all end-all brand either. I'm still waiting for anyone to release a modern phone in SCH-i760 form factor and with thу same build quality...

motorolas razr is probably one of the most popular handsets ever, the moto droid is by far the best selling android phone in th u.s. so based on numbers i would say their phones are desirable. sharp made the kin phones so they shouldnt even be mentioned lol! and honestly i wouldnt hold my breath for a htc phone with the SCH-i760 form factor. honestly its not very modern at all, came out what 3 years ago?!

guess we will have to agree to disagree my friend but as of late it seems the most specced out phones from many of the top manufacturers outside of nokia/SE (regardless of what one thinks about them) have been coming to the u.s. as well or are us exclusives. i will say if this was a year or 2 ago the same couldnt be said but like i said before times are changing.
