Re: HTC Touch Pro 2...4G capable???
sry if this has been said. didnt have time to read every post.
i wonder why i have quite a few registry entries with WiMax labels. i understand it could just come with the OS. but that would mean that they would have a win mo 6.5 device that was 4g capable? |

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2...4G capable???
While the Rhodium (Touch Pro 2) does NOT support 4G (currently the Evo & Iphone are the only 4G's, IIRC), I have no problems with it being slow. On a bad day, I am running at about 1300kbps (not using Wifi, just the Sprint 3G). Which is still ungodly fast in my opinion.
Web pages load in mere seconds (longest it has taken me has been about 6 seconds) and downloads are blazing fast. Also if you get a CR (Custom Rom) flashed on your device and remove the bloatware (Stock useless apps) you will be flabergasted as to just how fast it can run. If you (OP) are even thinking about getting the Rhodium I for one would say do it. I researchrd it for almost a day (heard about it on a friday bought it the next day) and have never been more pleased with a spontanious purchase. At the end of the day I have never seen a better phone. The only way I will replace it is for a Touch Pro 3 (I am hoping it will basically be the Leo with a qwerty). Sorry to sound like such a Rhodium cheerleader but I have only had it for a month and the intial "wow" factor has not yet worn off, lol.

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2...4G capable???
Well after doing more reading I see you are correct. Though didn't apple market it as being 4G when it was announced?
Either way, It is still an Iphone, So I would not piss on it if it were on fire. Last edited by jamio88; 07-07-2010 at 02:06 AM. Reason: typo(s) |

You'd think if it was, Apple would list it on their own website wouldn't they? AT&T's 4G network will use LTE, which the iPhone 4 does not support. It's still on 3G like the iPhones before it. Edit: And the proper name is iPhone 4, not iPhone 4G. I can't find the link, but they specifically named it iPhone 4 and not iPhone 4G to avoid confusing people into thinking it has 4G capability when it does not. |

I was told that when the Iphone 4 was announced it was announced to be 4g (hence the marketing as being an Iphone like non before it), but from what I can tell, its just as big a P.O.S as every other Iphone on the Market. |
